Pet stairs or a ramp? How to choose the right one
Height, incline and grip matter more than looks. A simple guide to getting it right the first time.
1. Measure the height first
Measure from the floor to the top of the sofa or mattress. Pick a size whose top step reaches that height.
2. Stairs for confident walkers
Stairs take less floor space and suit pets who still lift their legs well.
3. Ramps for weak legs and joints
A ramp has no steps to lift legs over, so it's kinder for arthritis, back problems and very small breeds.
4. Grip is non-negotiable
Look for carpeted or rubber treads. A slippery surface makes pets afraid to use it.
5. Why we like a 2-in-1
Our foldable wooden stairs flip into a ramp, so it can change as your pet ages — and folds flat when guests visit.
6. Teach it with treats
Place treats on each step, go slowly and keep sessions short. Most pets learn in a few days.
Fewer jumps, happier joints
Our foldable wooden stairs turn into a ramp as your pet's needs change.
